Ventnor Coast Care Association

Our group was formed in 2005 by volunteers, concerned about the degradation of the foreshore and coastal erosion occurring along the coastline.

We exist to conserve, enhance and maintain the indigenous flora and fauna along the Ventnor coastal foreshore between Anchorage Road and Devon Avenue.

Our current committee is:

President: Judy Glover

Vice President: Tricia O'Brien

Treasurer: Cathie Beenie

Secretary: Michele Don

Our Aim

• Reducing or stopping this erosion
• Replacing weeds introduced to the area with local plants to create habitats for native birds, butterflies and animals
• Creating wildlife corridors
• Enhancing the foreshore for visitors and locals alike
• Working together to improve our community in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere

New volunteers can help:
1. Learn to identify and remove invasive and noxious weeds
2. Help out by planting coastal indigenous species for habitat
3. Do your bit for the environment by reducing erosion
We meet monthly for a 2-hour working bee that
includes a cuppa and a chat. We sometimes head
to the local café too.

We welcome you to join our group. All ages are welcome. Annual membership is $10.
